A Japanese izakaya-style restaurant from the team behind Bottega and El Barrio invites to taste Japanese food with little twists. The restaurant looks like any traditional izakaya but focus in and you’ll see that there is more to it than meets the eye: the wooden paneling together with red neon lights.
Quick Japanese food as well as a good choice from main dishes and, of course, a rich choice of drinks from highball heavy drinks to Japanese sakes.
Working with Daruma started with its beginning. The aim was to maintain existing visual identity sometimes brining new elements.
1. Developing marketing materials according to the brand’s core values.
2. Make sure that there is consistency across multiple marketing and advertising mediums.
Daruma's food and drinks menu are both in English, Chinese and Japanese despite that the restaurant is based in Beijing.
The food menu is pretty minimalistic and the main accent is put on the dishes themselves, for each section we highlighted a special dish by making it full-page covered.
Daruma's drinks menu is full of details and is fun to look at. The style is based on vintage Japanese art. The idea to put a special accent on the drinks menu, make it somehow special, different.
In Daruma you can find various promotions to attract customers and boost sales.
The place is super active, a lot of people visit it every day.
