The Context

Apsaugos Komanda, one of the oldest and biggest security companies in Lithuania, decided to pair their own website with a new strategy for a new kind of service - smart home with an emphasis on wireless security systems.

The security company decided to provide 3 brands for connecting a system to the central monitoring station.

Understanding

Clearly, e-commerce systems are big and they are still growing; more and more companies include additional services to boost main sales, the client provided 3 security system brands with plans for different target groups.

Challenge

Create a design system for e-commerce and integrate it while respecting the existed design elements, structure and main idea of the website.
Develop e-commerce part using WooCommerce, both front-end, and back-end.

My Role

1. Gather and analyze information about wireless security systems.
2. Define primary navigation for an e-commerce system, flesh out second and third level structure, make wireframing and structurize screens.
3. Create a high-fidelity prototype for each page using Adobe XD and InVision.
4. WordPress + WooCommerce front-end and back-end development.

Landing page consists of four sections: full-screen hero image with information about security systems; pros with icons for having a security system; three systems which go by different brands - some little description about them, a link for comparing all systems and pro-cons for connecting a system to the central monitoring station.
